The SOVA Community Food and Resource Program of Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles provides groceries and supportive services to over 12,000 people each month.  JFSLA is the oldest charitable organization on Los Angeles serving the most vulnerable members of the community regardless of religion, ethnicity, age or race.  .  Since its founding in 1854, it has counseled families, fed the hungry, sheltered the homeless and protected the vulnerable.   Through its SOVA Community Food and Resource Program, JFS responds to hunger and poverty in our community by providing individuals and families with the resources they need to regain self-sufficiency and independence.  Last year, SOVA distributed over 2.6 million pounds of food to people struggling with poverty and food insecurity.  For more information, call the SOVA office at (818) 988-7682 or visit www.jfsla.org/sova .
